Boys in London

Not only chair of the British Fashion Council’s 2012 menswear committee, and GQ editor, now Dylan Jones can add one more job title: Chair of London Collections: Men. Confirmed to be returning to London from 7th-9th January, LC:M will see Jones working alongside the British Fashion Council on the bi-annual event, developing the capital’s menswear showcase. Jones said:

“I am thrilled to be working with the British Fashion Council on London Collections: Men. The inaugural Men’s Week was far more successful than any of us anticipated, and we have been overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm for the project from designers, retailers, buyers and the press. LC: M has already contributed to the changing perception of menswear in this country, and our plans for the next week in January, and beyond, will hopefully build on this.”

Not enough excitement? The BFC have confirmed that TOM FORD will be presenting his AW’13 collection as part of LC:M. Although it’s not clear whether or not the collection will be shown on the catwalk or in a more private presentation (like the womenswear), it has been confirmed that Tom Ford will also be opening a new London store in Autumn 2013!

The reign of womenswear fashion on the catwalks is still holding strong, but the movement for menswear, with new Mens Weeks and big names like Tom Ford on board, I can only see exciting things in the future of mens fashion.

What do you think!?
