NYFW: Day Seven

Are you ready for London Fashion Week? No? So how about some more treats from New York Fashion Week!? Oh, okay then. Day Seven didn’t take a breath, filled with fashion greats and fashion rising stars. If NYFW was drawing to a close, it wasn’t letting on. The catwalks were still busy and beautiful. Check out what happened on Day Seven of New York Fashion Week…

Best Show

I can’t be greedy today, and so I’m resisting and just picking my one favourite collection. Having said that, Red Valentino and Oscar de la Renta had collections to die for – so please do check them out! And a certain nod must go to Betsey Johnson, who had the cheeriest models of the week!

Anna Sui, New York Fashion Week, SS'14, FashionAnna Sui topped the list on New York Fashion Week Day Seven. It was a travel through the Sixties, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and festivals down the catwalk – backed with a dreamy night scene. Think florals, tassels, embroidered waistcoats and jackets, prairie dresses, and loose curls. Cute perfection! Anna Sui does dreamy, floaty dresses with ease – this collection was perhaps no surprise (her last collection was also firmly seated in the Sixties) but had all the qualities of a sultry summer collection. Particularly loved the sandals, teals and beaten gold effects.

Wardrobe Wishlist

The Osklen catwalk was filled with primary colours and palm tree prints on Day Seven, but it was this mixed-pattern outfit that caught my eye. The bold colours, and blend of stripes and florals (patterned much like a stained glass window) might be eye-watering, but it’s super-cool and I definitely need in my life. Bring back the sunshine and the heat so I can wear it now!

Olivia Palermo, Johannes Huebl, Rachel Zoe, New York Fashion Week, SS'14, Fashion, Celebrity

Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl

Best Dressed on the FROW

She had to appear at some point, didn’t she! Olivia Palermo is polkadot perfection as she took front row at Rachel Zoe’s SS’14 collection with boyfriend Johannes Huebl. What a stylish couple. Polkadots are definitely a top fashion hit, and the matching blouse and shoes makes this smart outfit mega-chic.
