What to Wear: Birthday Meal

Tonight is steak night at the local pub, and tonight I will be celebrating my birthday (I turn 26 tomorrow, eep) with my family with wine, and plenty of meat cooked just the way we like it.

But what do you wear for a birthday meal? Well, although you will be seeing the full post of what I’m going to be wearing tonight sometime over the next couple of days, I thought I would put together something if you’re running out of ideas for what to wear for a birthday.

What to Wear, Fashion, Style, New Look, Oasis, Bird print, Skirt, Nail polish, MAC Cosmetics, Penultimate eye liner, River Island, TopshopInspired as I was by the Oasis newsletter (and such a complete fan of their stuff) I picked something from their new “Twit-Twoo” Botanical Bird Print collection. This skirt is gorgeous, and works well from office to bar to birthday party. (If you don’t want a skirt-and-top outfit, try the divine Silk Botanical Bird Dress, £75, which has gone straight on my wish list). I’ve teamed it with a simple blouse from New Look, but if you want to go a bit different and add more texture, you can’t get better than the Topshop Geo lace rolled sleeve blouse, £38. Simply add some coral (or black) nails, a flick of eyeliner and (if you want) a slick of lip gloss (clear or tinted) and you’re ready to go.

Happy birthday!

4. Botanical Bird Print skirt, Oasis, £40
5. Black contrast panel patent clutch bag, River Island, £28
