What to Wear: Spring Wedding

Spring WeddingAre you getting all those wedding invites pouring through the letter box and cluttering up your diary? Getting told from every which way how to wear your hair and which shoes are perfect for a wedding? Yep, me too.

Which is why I have picked a fail-safe, minimal Spring wedding outfit. Oasis have some beautiful florals and pastels in their upcoming SS’13 range, which is always a good pick for those cautiously sunny days, and Warehouse do understated dresses to perfection – like this lace-shouldered blue wrap dress. Even ASOS have got in on the act, with a whole section dedicated to wedding guest dresses!

Don’t want to fork out for a dress you’ll only wear once? Try Girl Meets Dress for some designer frock hire.

It’s hard to move away from florals, so this time I’ve embraced them with this French Connection dress. Figure-hugging and flattering without flashing the flesh, it’s a gorgeous colour and ticks all the wedding boxes for me. Shoes are always tough – the dilemma between stiletto heels and flats or wedges is ongoing. This time I’ve gone for Topshop heels in loud-and-proud orange-red and a matching bag. Cover up with a light jacket, and don’t forget the sunnies and umbrella in the bag – you’ll probably need one or the other.

Fantasy jacquard dress, French Connection, £120
Ponte jacket, Oasis, £40
Sylvie knot front heels, Topshop, £65
Crossbody bag, Topshop, £35
