PFW: Valentino

0It was a fairytale-like collection at Valentino this AW’13. Inspiration came from Flemish paintings – designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have created the perfect blend of Valentino tradition and contemporary fashion.

VALENTINO
Pieces of Note:
Short black shifts, embroidered with lace collars, cuffs and yokes, hooded capes; then there were the dresses: lace, beaded, tapestry, embroidered watercolour pleats – all in blue, white and red, with that familiar Valentino silhouette. Shirt and collar details, then short shifts with scallop shapes in red, green, pink and blue, and a variety of necklines – off the shoulder, high-necked and buttoned.
Style: From the traditional to the fashion-forward, this was a collection of high variety and good taste. Romantic and definitely Valentino, this was a collection to get your teeth into.
