PFW: Chloé

0It was back-to-school, utilitarian cool to Chloé this AW’13 – a step away from the girly girl of last season. Inspiration came courtesy of “night buses, independent spirit, bare legs, dorm rooms, bike sheds, flirting, cold night, tough girls”.

Pieces of Note:
Sturdy pinafore dresses, duffle- and military-detail great coats, capes, oversized blazer coats with oversized lapels, and satchel bags. Girlishness came from polkadot frills and prom skirts, but it was definitely a more simplistic collection this season.
Style: Simplistic and structured, it reflects the trends popping up all over AW’13 – a simple palette and clean lines. Touches of masculinity in preference to femininity.
