MFW: Marni

0Inspired by Where the Wild Things Are, and against a backdrop of a forest, Marni’s Consuelo Castiglioni explained the AW’13 collection to Vogue after the show: “It’s austere but with a romanticism, it’s melancholic, severe”.

Pieces of Note:
Fur with everything, from stoles to mittens to boots – adding feminine touches to a very masculine collection. More pleats (a firm trend for AW’13), a moody palette and strapless, cinched prom dresses for the more romantic fashion fan.
Style: Even using menswear fabrics, this is a masculine collection, with soft feminine touches from fur, and black-and-white branch prints on skirts.
