Harrods and Disney

It might not even be the end of October yet, but Harrods have already announced what will be appearing in their Christmas windows this year!

The Harrods Christmas window is one of the most iconic fashion displays in the UK, and I always feel a spark of excitement when I hear what new heights they will be taking us to with their creation.

And this year, it’s been announced that some fashion big-hitters have designed their vision of the Disney Princess to display in the Knightsbridge store. The likes of Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Versace, Marchesa, Elie Saab and Jenny Packham have all taken iconic Disney princesses and given them a designer makeover.

To be unveiled on the 1st November, the window display is set to coincide with a 7,000 square-foot Disney pop-up boutique on the fourth floor of Harrods.

“Each year we strive to deliver a Christmas theme that will inspire and enthrall our customers. Collaborating with Disney this year is an exciting prospect for the store, as it allows us to combine luxury and fashion with fantasy and nostalgia to execute a show-stopping Christmas.” — Mark Briggs, Harrods’ store image director

Vogue has given us a quick peek … and go here for more from the designers. In the meantime, here are a few recognisable characters!

  1. I love the Aurora from Sleeping Beauty by Elie Saab. Christmas has come way too early though. 😉

  2. Ha! I totally forgot about bonfire! Now I feel the need to make it remarkable this year as time is passing by so rapidly. xx
