Moschino Cheap & Chic at London Fashion Week SS’13

It might only be their second appearance at London Fashion Week, but Moschino Cheap & Chic made it worthwhile with their signature feminine style in spades. Front Row was filled with the Brit Pack – Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Sunday Girl, Delilah and Pixie Lott – who had come to view a SS’13 collection with a distinctive sixties theme.

Flared trousers and buttoned up jackets were blended with bright colours, while bold prints adorned mini and maxi dresses. Textures also came into play, with the full skirts teamed with soft jumpers and crystal embellishments.

The single-breasted coats were in shiny teal and red, whilst accessories were definitely fruity… if you’re not wearing pineapple-themed earrings, bikinis and bags next season, then you’ll be missing out!

The choice of footwear was kept simple – sporty flats for a downplayed casual style, or overwhelmingly high heels – both in colours so bright you’d have to wear sunglasses to look at them.

“It’s wonderful to have Moschino Cheap & Chic in London – it seems at home here. There were fabulous retro references – mad bell bottoms, bright prints and the best running shoes I’ve seen in a long time. It was all very fun and flattering.” — Vogue executive fashion director Calgary Avansino

Post-show, guests were even treated to beer and pizza (or wine)… Moschino Cheap & Chic are definitely allowed to stay!
