Jourdan Dunn really got around for London Fashion Week. Her next spot was down the Issa London catwalk in a distinctly tropical SS’13 collection. With bright orchids in their hair, the models strode down in eye-popping colours and bold prints.
Emerald, fuchsia, scarlet and even black was embellished with beads, toucans, elephants, tigers and flower prints, or slashed with deep V necklines and cut out backs. The silhouette was glamorous and billowing with narrowed waists – this was a collection best suited to the poolside and people with tans.
The seventies-style jewellery was picked out by Susan Caplan Vintage Collection; chunky gold against the vivid colours. Nothing too out-there for Issa, playing with fabrics rather than the brand’s signature style, but a bright and beautiful collection best seen striding down the beach.
