Corrie Nielson at London Fashion Week SS’13

Corrie Nielson blasted on to the fashion scene in 2010 with the Fashion Fringe, and something about her has stuck. Her signature style is wild and outrageous, and not always necessarily a direct translation of what’s to come on the highstreet, but it’s also whimsical and packs a fashion punch.

Nielson’s SS’13 range was inspired by Kew Gardens – a burst of floral joy on the catwalk. Tulip and peony shapes manifested in voluminous gowns and sleeves, bustles, strapless dresses and even skin-tight sleeves. This was a new, lighter Corrie Nielson, in teal and peach and blush shades. Inspired by the flora of Kew, it was inevitably a more feminine take on the brand.
