The Jubilee at Harrod’s

Like pop-up boutiques? Well, you’re going to love this one from Harrod’s in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee. Designers including Erdem, Nina Ricci, Roberto Cavalli and Valentino will appear in the Brompton Road windows for Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950 – a pop-up entirely dedicated to ballgowns! Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, told Vogue:

“When asked to create a ballgown for Harrods to celebrate The Queen’s Jubilee, we were extremely honoured – not only because Harrods is a British institution with a worldwide audience, but because we love and admire British culture and its capability of blending tradition with an innovative spirit. In our eyes, beauty and style is unique and personal, capable of arousing multiple emotions and attitudes. With this beautiful lace and tulle embroidered delicate ballgown, we feel that any woman could live a princess moment.”

I couldn’t agree more!

The display will be on for a display for a month, starting Tuesday 15th May and you can have the chance to buy designs in one-to-one consultations at The Penthouse at Harrods.

I’m feeling all patriotic.
