The Week in Fashion

Best-dressed Female

Miranda Kerr couldn’t be looking hotter. Post-baby, our Victoria’s Secret Angel stuns in New York in these white trousers and teal green blouse and blazer.

Best-dressed Male

Bruno Mars looks dapper in a Dolce & Gabbana suit at the American Musics Awards, where everyone’s guilty pleasure picked up the Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist Award.

Biggest News Story

Rihanna Designs for Armani

My biggest girl-crush doesn’t only sing. Oh no, she now designs some amazingly beautiful clothes for hot designer Armani. She has created a capsule collection for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Think off-duty grunge, printed with the stylistic R for our Bajan queen.

Favourite Highstreet Store

Oasis

Yesterday when I did of window-shopping with Sis, we went into Oasis, which is the first time I’ve been in there for months. I always appreciate Oasis for their simple cuts, bright colours and gorgeous party dresses. But now I appreciate them even more! I found at least three festive dresses, some clothes for work, a couple of bags and even some cute winter knits that would all look perfect in my wardrobe. So, Oasis, I salute you!

Favourite Outfit

This week wasn’t so much about what I was choosing to wear, but what Sarah P was choosing! I work with Sarah P, and she had gone on a bit of a Miss Selfridge splurge… Apart from a gorgeous mustard-coloured midi-dress with A-symmetric hemline, she also picked up this beautiful coat (left). This teal wonder is £85, and the collar is detachable if you’re not in the mood for some luxe faux fur!

I always love following some of the designers; get the inside scoop with some of your favourite brands…

Chameleonic.

This beautiful Canadian lady sports her fave outfits in beautiful styled pictures… As she states herself this girl “got style”. Enjoy!

Back of the Wardrobe

This week it wasn’t so much back of the wardrobe, but “bottom of the make-up box”. I rediscovered the genius that is Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. Soft and glides on smoothly, it leaves an even, matte finish that does the very thing that you need a foundation to do – make it look like you’re not wearing foundation at all!

Model of the Moment

Hailee Steinfeld

No, technically  not a model, but the 14-year-old actress has been causing a bit of a stir in the fashion-modelling arena. For controversy’s sake, I won’t be posting the picture in question, but you can see it on Marie Claire’s website, here. Little Miss Steinfeld, star of True Grit, bagged herself a modelling campaign with Miu Miu recently, but has found the adverts banned by the Advertising Standards Association for “showing a child in a hazardous or dangerous situation”. Hailee Steinfeld is pictured on a railway track, crying.
